My Writing Journey
It all began with Connects—the first book I wrote in 2012 deriving from a vivid dream and the beginning of the Dream Detective Series. This story holds a sacred place in my heart. It was born from a time of deep personal upheaval, and writing it was my way of making sense of the chaos. Fiction, yes—but rooted in truth, in pain, in survival. Today, I’m proud to introduce my Dream Detective Series, a genre-blending journey of mystery, spirit, and survival. It begins with Connects, a paranormal ghost thriller inspired by a true haunting—fictionalized to protect both the innocent and the guilty. Connects is available in paperback on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, KDP, and Kindle Unlimited. Too busy to read then listen on Audible, Kobo, Apple Books, and more. To balance the intensity of this series—rooted in real-life trauma and the supernatural—I also write Body, Mind, and Soul, a lighter, uplifting collection focused on healing, positivity, and resilience. Resilience is more than a theme in my work—it’s a truth I’ve lived. I survived an abusive marriage that tried to silence my voice and sabotage my first publication of Connects. But what’s broken can be mended. Including the woman behind the words. Hollow Man is more than a sequel—it’s a reclamation. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I write to connect, to heal, and to remind us all that even in the darkest places, there’s always a way through. After the dust settled, I realized that writing wasn’t just a calling—it was a lifeline. That’s when I penned Get Out of the Depression Pit, a small but powerful booklet that helped me climb out of the darkness. From that healing came the spark for a new series: Body, Mind, & Soul—a lighter, uplifting collection focused on resilience and inner strength. I had intended to follow that path with The Intuitive You, but life had other plans. Once again, I found myself drowning. The healing I thought was complete unraveled, and it took years—until 2025—for me to finish Hollow Man, the second book in the Dream Detective Series. That book cost me something. It demanded truth, vulnerability, and the courage to face what I had buried. But it was necessary. Now, I’m circling back to The Intuitive You, a project I tabled for over a decade. And I’ve begun Bark Like a Seal--a story so raw and personal that even now, I’m still finding the strength to write it. Each book I write is a step forward, a piece of healing, a whisper to anyone who’s ever felt lost: you’re not alone. My stories are for the seekers, the survivors, the dreamers—and for anyone who believes that even in the darkest chapters, there’s a thread of light waiting to be found. |
